8th German Biotechnology Days (Deutsche Biotechnologietage, DBT)

About 800 representatives from industry, research, the finance sector, administration and politics gather regularly at this yearly leading networking platform for the German biotech industry.In parallel tracks the topics “business environment”, “medical biotechnology” and “industrial biotechnology” will be presented. One additional track is reserved for presentations of companies and research institutes that receive public funding through the federal research and economics ministries.”For international attendees we offer the following programme: At the first conference day, we will provide a simultaneous translation in English for the plenum. Additionally the company presentations – also on the first day – featuring innovative early and late stage German biotech companies will be held in English as well. Selected talks will also be given in English which are indicated in the programme.On Thursday there we will be an international Start-up Challenge starting around noon. The Startup Challenge is a pitching competition offering emerging entrepreneurs a chance to pitch their company. Selected companies will receive free access to the pitching session, the opportunity to win a 1-year free seat at the JLINX – the recently opened Incubator based in Beerse, Belgium, and 1-on-1 mentoring with Johnson & Johnson Innovation.
