EBE at DIA Europe Meeting
Wednesday, February 6 from 12:00 – 13:15 – The EBE-EFPIA Personalised Medicine Working Group is organising a session at the DIA Europe 2019 that will introduce Next Generation Sequencing (NGS)-based Comprehensive Genomic Profiling (CGP) and its clinical relevance and implications for drug development and clinical practice in the future. Additionally, this session will explore the regulatory environments for NGS and CGP and consider the role of CGP in the context of a regulated learning healthcare ecosystem.
Wednesday, February 6 from 15:15 – 16:15 – The EBE-EFPIA Advanced Therapies Working Group is organising a session at the DIA Europe 2019 that will discuss the value and place of ATMPs in the current healthcare system as well as their challenges for market access of ATMPs, with the aim to formulate recommendations and next steps for all stakeholders to accelerate access.
In addition, the EBE-EFPIA Advanced Therapies Working Group will provide a presentation on ” Overview of current gene editing landscape”. This presentation will give an overview of the current gene editing landscape, including a critical view of the key differences among distinct technologies and new challenges posed by genome editing when compared with the now more established gene therapy field.
