In memory of Eugenio Aringhieri, CEO Dompé, member of the EBE Board of Directors
It is with great sadness that we received the news of the sudden and untimely passing of our Board member Eugenio Aringhieri, CEO Dompé, on 1 May 2018.
Eugenio Aringhieri has contributed to the success of the European Biopharmaceutical Enterprises (EBE) with his deep knowledge of the industry and his strategic vision as a Board member since 2008.
Eugenio has successfully driven the strategy of Dompé and developed the company over the past ten years at its helm. This was recognized in the biotech community. He won the prestigious European CEO award as “Best European CEO” in Biotech for 2015. In 2016 Eugenio received the award as “Best European CEO” in the Biotech area set up by the magazine “CEO Insight” and was listed among the “100 most influential CEO” in Life Sciences by “Acquisition International”. In 2017, he and Dompé were the recipients of ‘The European’ magazine’s Business Awards 2017 in the category Global Healthcare as “Best Performing CEO Biotech” and “Best Therapeutic Solution”, respectively.
Only recently Eugenio was re-elected for a fourth consecutive mandate as chairman of the biotech group of Farmindustria, the association of the pharmaceutical industry in Italy.
Our condolences go to Eugenio Aringhieri’s family, and to his friends and colleagues at Dompé.
